PARAFFIN CANDLES?
-No.002-
Did you know...?
Paraffin candles emit chemicals like toluene, which causes dizziness, and benzene, which is a carcinogen found in tobacco smoke.
According to the british newspaper The Telegraph, these chemicals build up over time and there is a possibility that they cause health problems such as asthma, allergies, respiratory problems, headaches, and poor environmental hygiene.
Paraffin is a non-renewable, fossil-based, petroleum-derived material.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows that the smoke from paraffin candles contains more than 20 chemicals dangerous to health.
Another common problem in this type of candle is the wick, which in order to last longer and extinguish with greater difficulty are manufactured using lead, a compound that damages children's nervous system causing learning difficulties.
