THE CANDLES

-No.001-

The use of scented candles has been around for thousands of years.

History tells that candles were invented between the 13th and 14th centuries BC. by the Egyptians, who made them with branches smeared with the tallow of oxen or lambs.

But candles, as we know them now, began to be made in the Middle Ages, with tallow and beeswax. These were the only materials that were used until sperm whale began to be used in the 18th century. With it, the candles could be made brighter and without unpleasant odors.

It was not until 1850, after the discovery of oil, that they began to be manufactured with paraffin. Most candles are now made from this type of wax.
